Kiln Buster

In 2016 Hoobs built his final Studio in Huntington Beach, CA and partnered with local Glass Gallery Ziggys to create a still ongoing project called The Molten Art Classic. Which has become the largest team-built Borosilicate functional glass sculptures ever created. The team of roughly 12 hand picked artists from around the country have gotten together annually to push the known boundaries of the medium they have all spent a lifetime mastering. Together they have elevated what was once considered impossible to reality. 2026 marks the 10 year anniversary of this project and the final piece will be made at Hoobs studio. Completing the decade long body of work, which will then tour the country through selected museum exhibits. Helping to elevate the exposure of the grassroots functional glass movement to a whole new audience. At a whole new level.
