Scientific Roots, Artistic Vision
Coyle began his career as a scientific glassblower in 2003 — the technical foundation shows in every piece. The precision that goes into his signature monkey and bear sculptures isn't decorative instinct, it's applied science.
Exhibited at the Corning Museum of Glass
In 2025, Coyle completed an Artist-in-Residence at the Corning Museum of Glass — one of the most prestigious institutions in the glass world. His work has also been featured in The New York Times, VICE, and the Huffington Post.
Collaboration as a Practice
Coyle is as well known for working with other artists as he is for his own pieces. Based in western Massachusetts, he works regularly with some of the region's top pipe makers — bringing the same technical standard to collaborative work as to his solo output.
