Gundam rX-78
The Gundam RX-78 is a 23-inch collaboration between Joe P Glass and Banjo Glass, completed in 2026 after roughly six months and an estimated 2,500 hours of work. The piece is split down the middle: one side is armored in dense, opaque white and cobalt plates, while the other is clear and crystalline, revealing intricately detailed inner workings, or “the guts” as Gundam model builders call them.
Bright accents of yellow, red, and orange, honeycomb-textured panels, and a glass rifle in hand complete the build, with custom quartz from LA Highlife Quartz. The artists describe that guarded-versus-exposed contrast as the heart of the design, making this a true boundary-pushing showpiece for serious collectors.
