Nectar Collector

A nectar collector is a portable dabbing device that inverts the traditional setup — instead of applying concentrate to a stationary heated surface, you heat the tip of this straw-like tube and touch it directly to your concentrate. It's designed for direct, on-demand vaporization.

Key features:

  • Straw-like vertical design
  • Heated tip touches concentrate directly
  • Portable and self-contained
  • Built-in water chamber for filtration (most models)
  • Works with small amounts of concentrate

The design consists of a mouthpiece at the top, a body (often featuring a small water chamber), and a tip at the bottom that is heated with a torch. The tip is typically titanium, quartz, or ceramic. Once heated, you touch the tip directly to the concentrate in a silicone container or other heat-safe surface, inhaling through the top while the tip vaporizes material on contact.

This direct-touch method offers control over how much you consume — you're vaporizing only what you touch, so you can take small dabs easily. It's efficient since there's no leftover puddle in a banger. The learning curve is slightly different from traditional rigs since you're controlling both heating and application simultaneously.

Portability is a major advantage. Nectar collectors are smaller than full rigs, self-contained, and don't require a separate banger or carb cap. Many include keck clips or connectors that keep the tip attached during transport. Some models feature removable tips that allow you to switch between titanium and quartz based on your preference.

Using your nectar collector: Fill the water chamber (if your model has one) to the indicated level — usually just enough to create bubbles without splashing up toward the mouthpiece. Heat the tip with your torch until it reaches temperature (quartz will glow slightly, titanium shows a color change). Let it cool briefly to your target temp. Touch the heated tip to your concentrate while inhaling steadily through the mouthpiece. The tip vaporizes whatever it touches, allowing you to control the dosage by adjusting the contact duration. Lift the tip away when you've vaporized enough. Clean the tip regularly with isopropyl alcohol — reclaim builds up quickly since you're directly touching the concentrate.
